Aimed at preserving and promoting Ireland’s natural, built and cultural heritage,\u00a0National Heritage Week<\/a> runs across the country\u00a0from August 19 to 27 and Banter is delighted to be part of this year’s event.<\/p>\n

We’ll be\u00a0hosting a discussion<\/a> which looks at\u00a0how nature influences our life, work and the world around us. Poet Mark Roper<\/a>,\u00a0Birdwatch Ireland\u2019s Niall Hatch<\/a>, educator Grace Garde<\/a>,\u00a0Dublin city councillor Claire Byrne<\/a>\u00a0and author (In Sight Of Yellow Mountain: A Year In the Irish Countryside<\/a>) and actor Philip Judge<\/a> will talk about the value of nature,\u00a0wildlife and heritage to how they live and work.<\/p>\n

Banter on nature<\/a>\u00a0takes place at the National Print Museum<\/a> (Beggars Bush Barracks, Haddington Road,\u00a0Dublin 4) on Thursday August 24. Doors open at 6pm and the discussion begins at 6.30pm. Tickets are available here<\/a> and all\u00a0proceeds from the event go to the Irish Peatland Conservation Council<\/a>.<\/p>\n
