A year ago, we made our way on\u00a0the Banter bandwagon<\/a>\u00a0to Dingle for\u00a0the very first Banter Salon<\/a>\u00a0as part of the\u00a0Other Voices\u2019<\/a>\u00a0event in the town. A year on, and having travelled with them to Derry and\u00a0London<\/a>\u00a0in the meantime, we\u2019re very happy to heading back to\u00a0Foxy John\u2019s<\/a>\u00a0for more.<\/p>\n

Written nine years ago, \u201cA Girl Is A Half-Formed Thing\u201d was rejected by mainstream publishers and was eventually published by Galley Beggar Press in Norwich and was acclaimed by reviewers, with Anne Enright calling McBride a \u201cgenius\u201d for the book\u2019s \u201ctruth-spilling, uncompromising and brilliant prose\u201d.<\/p>\n
